GUIDED IMAGERY TRAINING PROGRAMS

Transformational Imagery Certificate at California Institute of Integral Studies

This three until class  is offered every Fall through the Master’s Program in Integrative Health Studies. You do not need to be currently enrolled at CIIS, and could take the course under “special student” status. It is a three hour class that meets weekly for three and a half months. In 2018 it will be offered as a low-residence program with an online learning platform.

Through a compelling and extensive body of research connected to the field of psychoneuroimmunology, we have learned that conscious and unconscious images within us have a direct impact on our physiology, offering guided imagery an important role for a range of health-related conditions. Examples include the ability to lower cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood, heighten short-term immune cell activity, lower blood pressure, reduce complications related to surgery, as well as anxiety relief and enhance wellbeing. An interactive-style of imagery facilitation which navigates the mind-body-emotions-spirit matrix will be taught and practiced, along with an understanding of its applications for a variety of health and lifestyle concerns.

Certificate in Deep Imagination through John K Kennedy University

Note: JFKU is restructuring and is closing it’s doors. This training program continues through the end of 2020.

All Continuing Education Certificate courses may be taken as either certificate courses or as stand-alone Continuing Education courses. Prerequisites must be observed. Credit for MFT, LCSW, Psychologists and RN’s.

Over the past 30 years, research has demonstrated the effectiveness of guided imagery with mood, happiness, trauma, performance, health, and creativity. The power of imagery lies in its capacity to access unconscious and pre-conscious processes when approaching therapeutic goals. By learning how to tap into a client’s key symbols and metaphors, the capacity for change accelerates, positively influencing the emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral outcomes.

This certificate program will allow you to build competence with an interactive-style of imagery that is non-scripted. It can be applied toward individuals, couples, groups and with children, to address a range of topics including complex grief, depression, pain, insomnia and other symptoms, end of life issues, and PTSD.

Certificate requirements: A total of 45 hours is required. This includes four core courses and at least seven electives. New electives will be available in each catalog and different core courses are offered throughout the year.
